Who can attend Adult School classes?
Adult classes are open to everyone over the age of 18 not currently attending public school. Enrollment is on a first-come-first-served basis as space and materials permit.
Can you help me determine my academic/vocational needs?
Yes. Counseling is available to help students determine their instructional needs for basic skills improvement, high school diploma completion, GED prep, job training, and self- improvement. Please call our front office for an appointment.
Is the Tulare Adult School accredited?
Yes. The Tulare Adult School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges as an outstanding school of learning.
Yes, we offer the GED test. To schedule a test, please register and complete your payment online. If you are interested in enrolling into a GED class, please call the Tulare Adult School office at (559) 686-0225 to schedule a meeting with the counselor.
Is there student parking and how much does it cost?
We have plenty of student parking available along Maple Avenue on the south side of our building and do not charge for parking.
We offer courses for part-time and full-time students. Some courses meet three days a week; others meet only one night a week. Some courses are offered every semester; others only once per year. Please review our class schedule for specific information.
The intent of Tulare Adult School is to prepare students for success in everyday life—especially work life. Thus, we require that students maintain a professional, work-appropriate appearance that is neat, clean, and in good repair. Specifically, we require our students
- Wear jobsite standard shoes at all times and at all functions
- Avoid gang or drug-affiliated clothing and accessories
- Choose clothing that sufficiently covers the body (no bare midriffs, exposed undergarments, or see-through materials) and does not disrupt from the professional, learning atmosphere
- Avoid jewelry and accessories that pose a personal danger to the wearer or have the ability to destroy property
